a little background

In 2001 a genius in Chicago decided to call up the LML company in India and ask them to make him a scooter based on the 1978 Vespa, just with a different name. They said - why would we do that? He said he'd pay them. A year later, the Stella arrived in America.

Stella's 2-stroke 150cc engine and all steel body complete with retro styling create one wicked ride. She gets from 60-90 MPG and goes at a top speed of about 65 MPH. Not too shabby.

Fast forward to 2006. Sean and Mel sell the V-Dub and enjoy the single car lifestyle. But then we needed something else. A little research, a Craigslist ad, and a great deal later...

My Stella came used with 2330 miles on her. She's a beautiful red (rojo is red in Spanish - btw) I'm currently learning to ride and it is joy. One of the coolest parts is that now I can take totally sweet pics of myself and post them here, along with chronicles of our adventures together.

"this is me on my Stella RoJo, yo!"
(and yes, that is a free skull helmet ;)
